Moonsong Designs Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Pootler's Design Team - December 2016.
Good Grief! What have I done?
My usual motto is "deny everything, admit nothing and never volunteer for anything," and here am I ignoring my own advice.
Each month my Team Leader Sam, throws down the gauntlet and selects 4 or 5
victims,
erm, volunteers and sends them all a stamp set, and asks them to create
a number of projects with that stamp. That number of projects depends
on the number of Thursdays in the month. As there are 5 Thursdays in
December, we need to come up with 5 projects.
I was delighted to
be selected this month, and really happy when I saw the stamp set "Live,
Love, Grow." I haven't told Sam that it was a stamp set I had
considered buying and had not got around to.
It it an interesting
set, and a couple of the stamps have an oriental feel to them. If you
read my blog regularly, you will know I am a bit of a nut for all things
oriental. This stamp looks to me a bit like a lotus, and I wanted to
keep the design really simple.
I stamped the flower in Sweet Sugarplum ink onto Whisper White cardstock
which I matted onto Sweet Sugarplum card with dimensionals, cut about a
centimetre bigger. I did this 4 times, and then layed them out on to
the card blank which was in Whisper White. When I was happy with the
positioning, I fixed them to the card blank with snail.
