Gift Tag set made with Stampin' Up! card and ink.

We all need gift tags and I think that they make a lovely gift when presented in a pretty box.

These are made from Very Vanilla card stock which has been stamped in Soft Sky, Sweet Sugarplum and Early Espresso ink using the Paisleys and Posies stamp set, then punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.

The box is Early Espresso which has been stamped and heat embossed in the beautiful copper powder. Then, I decided to add a little copper heat embossing to the tags.

These are so simple to make, and either keep for yourself, or to gift.

The box is a piece of card 7" x 4" - scored at 1", 3 1/4", 4 1/4" and 6 1/2" on the long side and 1" on the short side.

The tags are 2" x 4."

If you need any more information, or would like to buy any of the goodies I have used, please get in touch.

Ferrero Rocher Box using Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper

I love chocolate, and it is always nice to present it to someone in a pretty box.

When I saw this box, I was forced to go out and buy some Ferrero Rocher chocolates just so I could make it.

Sadly, I am not able to take the credit for this. It was created by a lovely German Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Alexandra who has kindly given me permission to recreate it.

I started with a Christmas version using more Candy Cane Lane DSP but then decided to make a stamped version.

You need:
Aa piece of Whisper White card 7 x 22.5cm which I stamped randomly in Mint Macaron using three of the stamps from Paisleys and Posies stamp set. I then scored at 1, 12 & 17.5cm.

A piece of Mint Macaron card 6.5 x 5cm and another 10 x 9 cm. Score the larger piece at 5cm on the long side, fold in half and glue then put in the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

At the end of the Whisper White card away from the narrow strip, mark at 3cm and 1.5cm from the end. Cut a notch out of each side of the card between the two marks. Cut a strip of plastic from a document wallet 20cm x 1.4cm, put a little piece of double sided tape at one end wrap around the card in the notches and stick, making sure that it is loose enough to move.

Here is the video.

Gift Bag using Candy Cane Lane from Stampin' Up!

Gift Bag

I have finally given in and bought the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper and I love it.
It is not your traditional green, gold and red Christmas colour scheme but a beautiful combination of Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Real Red.

I have started to make Christmas gift packaging and grabbed the Gift Bag Punch Board to make life easier.

With a piece of DSP 10″ x 7″ (because I wanted to make a small bag) I followed the instructions punching and scoring the base of the bag.

I added some Whisper White pompoms, which are so much fun, absolutely delightful and look like snowballs. Then I stamped and heat embossed, in white on Crumb Cake card stock, a snowflake from a Flurry of Wishes and a sentiment from the same set. I punched out the sentiment using the Decorative Label Punch and the snowflakes using the co-ordinating punch and added them to the bag using Linen Thread tied to a gold binder clip.

Here is the video to show you how I did it.

I used Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper, Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set and co-ordinating Punch, Linen Thread, Crumb Cake Card stock and the Decorative Label Punch.

Christmas Crackers using Stampin' Up Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper

Christmas is rapidly galloping towards us and, cards aside, I have given little thought to it. I have however, bought the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper.

Now, I don’t go for the usual Christmas colour scheme of red, gold and green, it just does not appeal to me, so when I see something that steers away from those colours I grab it.
Enter Candy Cane Lane. It is a lovely DSP with four colours: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Real Red and Early Espresso.

I decided that I wanted to make some crackers either to hold a gift or to decorate with, and I really love how they have turned out.

You need a piece of paper 6″ x 5 1/2″ (157mm x 133mm).

Along the long side score at 1″, 1 1/2″, 2″, 4″, 4 1/2″ and 5″ (2.5cm, 3.8cm, 5.1cm, 102mm, 11.4cm).

Along the short side score at 1 1/4″, 2 1/2″, 3 3/4″ and 5″ (3.2cm, 6.3cm, 9.5cm, 12.7cm).

Fold and burnish all the score lines.

With the long side at the top, fold at the first score line and line up at the 1 1/2″ mark on the envelope punch board and punch. Unfold and then fold at the next score line, line up at the 1 1/2″ mark on the punch board and punch and repeat on all score lines. Flip over the paper and do the same on the other end again lining up at the 1 1/2″ mark.

Place your paper face down (the side you want to see when the project is complete) and with the long side at the top, take the right hand side of the paper and fold inwards along the innermost vertical score line, outwards along the middle vertical score line and then inwards along the outer most score line (yes, it is a bit like the hokey cokey). Do the same on the left hand side of the paper.

Add some adhesive along the narrow strip on the 6″ side and fold around to complete the cracker.
A snowflake heat embossed in white on to Real Red card stock and then I used the Decorative Lable Punch to punch out the sentiment and added them to the cracker.

The video is HERE if you want to take a look.
